Is this image compressor really free?
Yes, completely free with no hidden catches. No accounts, no subscriptions, no "premium" tier. It runs in your browser, so there are no server costs for us to pass on.
Turn iPhone HEIC photos into JPEG files on your device. Batch convert without uploading your photos or creating an account.
Select your HEIC or HEIF photos, wait for each image to decode, then download the JPEGs individually or together in a ZIP. JPEG output is preselected; use Options to adjust quality or maximum dimensions.
JPEG is useful when a website, email tool, or photo editor does not accept HEIC. JPG and JPEG are names for the same image format.
HEIC decoding can use substantial memory. Try a smaller batch on phones. JPEG uses lossy compression, and conversion cannot recover detail that was absent in the original. Not every HEIC variant is supported; failed files show a retry option.
Drag and drop, click to upload, or paste from your clipboard. Process multiple images at once.
Your images are compressed locally in your browser. Nothing leaves your device.
Preview the quality, then download individually or grab them all as a ZIP file.
Most image compressors upload your files to their servers. We do things differently.
Your images never leave your device. All compression happens in your browser using JavaScript. No server uploads, ever.
No daily caps or watermarks. Large images and batches depend on your device's available memory; try fewer files at a time on phones.
No waiting for server uploads. Images process locally, with speed depending on your device, file dimensions, and chosen settings.
Set target file sizes, convert to WebP or JPEG, resize dimensions, and compare before/after quality.
Works with all the image formats you actually use.
HEIC files from iPhone are automatically converted to JPG during compression.
Whether you're a developer or just cleaning up your photo library.
Yes, completely free with no hidden catches. No accounts, no subscriptions, no "premium" tier. It runs in your browser, so there are no server costs for us to pass on.
Your images never leave your device. Seriously. Everything runs locally in your browser using JavaScript. We couldn't see your images even if we wanted to.
Lossless preserves image detail. Lossy discards some visual information to reduce file size. JPEG and WebP quality settings trade detail for size; use Compare to decide what looks acceptable for your image.
WebP can be useful for web images, but the smallest format depends on the image and quality setting. Compare the result and check that the website or editor receiving your file accepts WebP.
EXIF metadata — camera settings, date taken, GPS location — is stripped from every image we re-encode, for smaller files and more privacy. Photo orientation is preserved (baked into the pixels), so images still appear right-side up. If a file is already smaller than we can make it, you get the original back untouched, metadata included.
Need an image under 500KB for an email attachment? Set a target size and we'll search for a quality level that fits. If the target cannot be reached, the result warns you; try reducing the dimensions too.
